THE GOLDEN MISTAKE
“Alright, let’s all head out,” Miss.Raye said as she held Kayden (Sean’s little nephew) in her arms.
“Mom,Anabelle and I will meet you all there. I want to take her somewhere first.” Sean said
Miss.Raye smiled and nodded. “Alright, we’ll reserve two seats for you both. Be careful on the road, please.”
“Yes mom, I’ll be careful.”
They all left at the parking spot, leaving Sean and I alone. “So, where exactly do you want to take me?” I questioned, sounding very curious.
I sensed that this was some type of romantic outing
Sean took my hand and held it as we began to make our way to the parking lot.
“Seaside Park.”he said
I chuckled lightly. “Lol,,i I knew you were going to say that?”I said
We finally got to where Elizabeth’s car was parked.
I smiled at him as he unlocked the car and opened the car door for me. I got in and put on my seatbelt. He closed the door and walked over to the other side of the car and opened it, quickly getting inside. He closed the door and started the car.
“You look so beautiful Anabelle, did I tell you that?”
I rested my head back as I gazed at him. “Yes. You did. You tell me every single day.”
He glanced in my direction and I smiled as I saw that he had a goofy grin on his face. “Well I can’t help it. My girlfriend is so beautiful. I want to make sure she knows that she’s beautiful every minute of every single day.”
I blushed at his words. “You are so sweet, do you know that?”
He reached over for my hand and held it. “Yes I do know that. Coz you make sure I know that every single day. And you also make sure I know how adorable I am as well.”he gushed
“Well you are adorable baby, and you’re a dork too.”I smirked
“Yeah but I’m your adorable dork,” He grinned.
I gave him a cheeky smile. “Yes. You’re my adorable dork. And only mine.”
“Of course baby. I will forever be yours.”
My heart fluttered at his words. It’s amazing how he still manages to make me feel this way. We finally arrived at Seaside Park several minutes later. Sean parked the car at the first empty parking spot he saw.
He turned off the car and took out the keys from the ignition, quickly putting it in his pocket. He opened the door and hopped off, quickly walking over to the other side of the car and opening my door.

I smiled and thanked him as he helped me out of the car. He closed the door and grabbed my hand. We began walking down the concrete path.
The sun was about to set, so the view looked amazing. “Wow. The sunset looks so beautiful.”I said
“Not as beautiful as you,” Sean murmured. I gently bit my lip as I felt my cheeks starting to grow warm.
“I bought you a gift for Graduation,” Sean said as we stopped walking. “A gift? Oh Sean. You didn’t have to-“I said
“I wanted to,” He quickly interrupted me. He reached inside his suit jacket and took out a small, blue box. My heart began to race as he held out the small box.
He placed his index finger on my lips. “Sh, just listen.” A smile formed onto his lips as he looked down at the small, blue box. “Before you freak out, it’s not an engagement ring.”he smirked
I let out a breath that I didn’t even know I was holding. He opened the blue, small box revealing a beautiful promise ring. I stared at it, completely mesmerized by its beauty.
“Anabelle, I am giving you this ring as a promise to you that no matter what, I will always be here and I will always be true. I promise that I will lie with you and hold you at night when things throughout your day just don’t seem to be going right.
For you I would walk a thousand miles and more, just to see your beautiful smile that I adore so much. I promise I will make you smile when you feel like crying. I promise you I will comfort you whenever you need to be comforted. I promise to take away your every sorrow and fear. I promise to wipe away your every tear.
I promise to cherish every minute I spend with you, until the daylight sky is no longer the color of blue. Without you, I don’t know what I would do. And I will not have a future unless it involves you. You’ve changed me for the better and I have never been so happy. Now, with you in my life, I can’t picture a world without you and me and our daughter, of course.
Fate decided it was time for us to be together and though our time on Earth is short, I promise I want you always and forever. I promise that no matter what may happen we will make it through.
I love you so much Anabelle Marie Thompson. Please take this ring as a symbol of the love I will always have for you.”he concluded
I didn’t even realize I was crying until Sean wiped one of my tears with his thumb. I looked down at the ring and smiled, nodding my head. I looked up at Sean who had the biggest smile plastered onto his face.
He took the ring out of the box and slid the ring on my finger. I wrapped my arms around Sean’s neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Sean’s hand rested on my cheek as the other hand rested on my lower back. I stroked my tongue on his lower lip but he continued to move his mouth skillfully over mine, not allowing me to deepen the kiss.
Such a tease.
I felt him smile as we continued to kiss. He knew what he was doing and how much it frustrated me. I stroke his lower lip again with my tongue and this time he opened his mouth, allowing me full access.
I gasped as he pulled me closer to him. I let out a small moan as he nibbled on my bottom lip. My grip around his neck became slightly tighter as our tongues danced together. My breathing became quicker and that’s when I knew I had to pull away.
I slowly pulled away so that we could catch our breaths. Sean rested his forehead on mine as his fingers brushed over my slightly swollen lips. I looked up at him and smiled at him, my hand resting on his cheek.
“I love you too Sean Walker. More than anything.”I said softly…
